Sounds like what you thought was a giant step, was a baby step for you. Dreading stuff is the worst part. I know...I do it all of the time, especially on long rides. Nod riding alone is how we always ride.
You remind me of a seat sniffer.... couldn't get a piece of *** on your best day so you ask a lady if she wears panties?..
You're low rent
Lighten up Francis. I'm more than pretty sure that he was JOKING.
To OP: Congrats and welcome to the forum! Riding alone definitely has its advantages. However, being a woman rider, I doubt that you'll have to ride alone for very long.
Taking that first step to do something you are apprehensive about can be tough. So good for you that you over came the fear and now you really know what riding is all about. Enjoy the ride and always keep Safety first.
I am a new motorcyclist and I had never ridden alone. My boyfriend always rode with me. Circumstances changed (breakup) and I bought a Sportster last week to replace the Honda I had been riding. I have had a bit of anxiety about riding alone and I didn't want it to get the best of me. So, I put my big girl panties on and went for a ride yesterday. Alone. It was AWESOME. I know this will sound like a small thing to most, but it was a big step for me. The freedom and excitement I felt was incredible. No more waiting on someone else to ride. Side note: Compared to the Honda Shadow I was riding before, my Sportster is a BEAST!
Alone is the only way to go....I actually dislike riding with other bikes.
Congrats!! Best thing is ya don't have to worry about any other bikes doing something stupid. What made you nervous about it?
Honestly, after I rode alone I asked myself the same question. I believe I was over analyzing everything to much. Then it was kind of like a snowball effect where it just kept getting bigger and bigger. But now that I've done it, I can't wait to do it again. Now, on to over analyze the next thing...
Good for you, going out for a solo run just to get away can be the best theerapy there is. We always ride alone, prefer it that way. Don't have to follow where anyone else wants to go you just go where your heart desires. Have fun and enjoy many miles to come.
