87 Tour Glide Starter Problems?

A stick of TNT?
Take a deep breath, it`s only wires, connectors, switches and a motor.
A simple troubleshooting process will find where the problem is.
Where do you hear the click coming from, the starter solenoid, or the starter relay?
Do you have a voltmeter?

Hold back on using the TNT! As Dan points out it is probably something very simple. Many electrical problems are actually mechanical, such as loose or dirty connections, etc. Disconnect both main battery cables (one end at a time!), clean, grease and refit, to ensure they are clean and your battery power is getting to the starter. Check starter as Leon suggests.

I had an 89 that gave me fits like you are coming across.I found that the start relay had low voltage when trying to start and cooked the relay. A high amp draw on the starter will cause a slow or no crank also.
Start with the basics charge the battery and load test a couple of times it might have a weak cell and only doing one load test will not show a weak cell
