Hey guys I'm having an issue that is out there for me but probably pretty obvious to a lot of you. Long story short, I put a Harley carb on my wives 89 Subaru Justy. I'm pretty sure it is a 2003. I rebuilt the carb, set the float and set the mixture screw at 2 turns out to start. It will run as long as I'm playing with the throttle but tries to sputter out and die. I haven't been able to set the timing exact because of this, but I've got it close. During one of its angry death shakes I stuck my hand over the carb and it picked itself up and smoothed right out and idled. I believe my jets were 45 and 190. Would I need a bigger idle jet? I tried turning the mixture screw out to 3 1/2 turns out but stopped because I don't know how far you can go out on those. It seemed to be helping. It seems like it will rev up fine but it also sounds like the valves may need a bit of adjusting. I'll do that first. Thanks for any tips or solutions. I'm trying to get this thing to drive to Connecticut on Sunday for Wicked Big Meet.
