Default Rear wheel adjusting while riding

A bit about the bike: Custom rolling thunder hardtail frame with a 250 rear tire, driven by an open belt system and has an evo motor in it. I took it out this morning and while riding it felt a bit different. I noticed that my rear tire would start shifting, on the right side, back and forth. Checked it and the bolt is as tight as can be.

Not sure what the issue is? Maybe the chain is too tight?

Check your wheel bearing...looks like it might be going out.

Wink

It may well be 'tight', however I recommend you dismantle it and study closely everything you disturb. It obviously isn't actually tight, otherwise it wouldn't move! It looks as if there is an adjuster hiding in front of your axle, so if they are both correctly adjusted, the axle shouldn't move.

Rolling Thunder are still around, so check with them what your rear wheel set-up should be, in other words what spacers etc it should have and what order they should be assembled in.

To me it dosen't look like enough material to make a clamping bond or something missing.

Check the frame welds. Rode with some folks that had one of those, rode over a rise with a dip on the other side, frame weld broke and it sat flat on the pavement. They wound up waiting on a flatbed after we carried the bike off the road.

++++1 mr. mike

the bolt can be tight against the axle assy but not against the frame. the frame should have a slight squeeze.

looking at the spacer between the frame and bearing something looks loose. bad bearings or missing internal spacer. spacers on the wrong side of the wheel ?
