Street Glide 10” handle bars
Hey guys I’m new here. I had recently bought a 2013 street glide. I had stopped by a Harley dealer and asked how much they would charge to put a set of 10 inch handle bars on. They first told me that I would need extensions for cables and wiring. And then told me it would be a round $2000 parts and labor. I’m not looking for $1000 set of handlebars I have found some around between $300-$500. Does it normally cost this much just to put handlebars on a street glide?

For 10" bars on '13 you only need a +4 clutch cable. The other connectors you can disconnect from cable mounts on left/rt side of radio and run harnesses under radio so handlebar wiring reach. The most difficult part of it is de-pinning connectors then running wires through bars and reconnect. Many good youtube videos on DIY. If aren't comfortable doing it yourself a HD Indy would be less cost.

Just helped a buddy do a set of 16 inch bars on a roadking. This is not a hard task but it is a tedious and time consuming task. A lot of things must be removed to allow access and some mechanical skill is required. Sounds like a great winter DIY project to save some cash!! I would recommend if you are going 10 inch bars or bigger get the wire extensions and longer cables for both sides. Makes things a lot easier. Just my 2 cents.

I like all the bike info on these forums but, you have to do your research. I cant tell you how many posts I've read that say no extensions are required if the bars are 12" or less. I have a friend who has some py 12" bars and used no extensions on a 07 street glide.
A local motor sports shop near me told me about 1k for a set of 10" bars installed, and that included the price of the bars. Anyway, definitely shop around.
