My heads are ported and polished I have roller rockers fueling cam chest besides the 204 cams. Supper e carb and a dan moto highwaymen on my wide glide. I Found a badass deal on the zippers 95” kit going to put me at 10.5-1 really love my 204s do I have to change them?

 

At 10.5:1 compression in a 95" kit with SE204 cams your cold cranking compression would be somewhere around 208 psi. Anytime you get north of that 190-200 psi mark you will be looking at possible starting issues with corrected compression that high. You may also run into detonation issues with pump gas.

If you want to stick with a SE cam, take a look at something like the SE257 or SE258. You would have a very happy, streetable combination.

 

That’s what my brother and I were just talking about. He recommended the s&s 570s. I’ll probably end up using those got a pair at the local shop for a good price.

 

Perfect, those 570s will pair great with everything else you got. You will have one badass Wide Glide once your done!

10.5 is pushing those 570 cams on ccp..

 

IME, 204s are happy @/below 9.7, SS570s are happy @/below 10.0 compression, both assuming a good, adjustable, ignition.
