Hello fellas. I cheaped out and bought a chinese 4pt docking hardware kit. The title says 09-13 touring but then down in description (ebay) it has all the models listed that it fits. Specifically says it fit 2009 FLHT but then skips Electra Glide from 10-13 and now that I have it mounted, it seems to be off just enough to frustrate me. Seems they must work or so many people wouldn't be buying them. Does anyone have experience with these docking kits, good or bad? Mounting seems pretty straight forward but I'm having a hell of a time. Can't even make backrest line up. $26 VS $174 for Harley.

There's a reason why it's so cheap.. Tried that with a simple backrest 3 times.. They were welded together incorrectly. They kept sending me a new one and expected me to mail the bad ones (which was all of them) back on my dime and that they would reimburse me. Yeah right.. So I cut them up, rewelded and painted them.. Came out ok but the aggravation was not worth the savingssssss..

 

Man, I can so relate. Managed to get my backrest of after grinding spacers down. Fortunately I was able to get solo tour pak bracket to fit...for the most part. Lesson learned here...You get what you pay for. Don't know about yours but my grandson could have done a better job welding my backrest!!
