[QUOTE=WP50;20494978][QUOTE=Lance00;20494961

I was not able to get a reading, tried pushing the pins from my multimeter in the side coming from the Battery,

I'm pretty sure you want to test the wire going to the CKP. at the connector With the connector undone .
See if the ckp generates an AC voltage. Meter needs to be set to read ac voltage not dc

If I miss read your post I apologize.

Thanks for clarifying, I think I misread, I was checking the wire on the other use of the connection (after the split to the bike) I’ll re-check the other side.

As WP says, you want to check the sensor voltage not the voltage coming from the ignition module.

Also 9 volts at the coil IS NOT RIGHT..

I hope a faulty meter is not sending him down the wrong path.

I spent a day or two using a bad meter.
I only use mine anymore.

Just a passing thought.

The easy thing to do is check the voltage at the battery. Should be about 12.6 to 12.8 with the ignition off and above 12 with the ignition on. Compare the reading to the reading at the coil.

Also need to make sure to set the DVM to AC volt measurement.

Battery was on the tender all yesterday, so I’ll recheck the voltages for battery and coil. I’ll check the CKP side of the connection under cranking as well.

And it could be the meter, this one isn’t top of the line, but I tested spark the old way, and was not getting any, so i think that is the main reason it won’t start. Why it won’t spark though 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm thinking if the CKP is not send a signal you won't have any spark.
It's the reason Max asked you to test it.

Have you gotten more than 9 volts at the coil?

It sounds as you are just gonna try the sensor.
Sensors go bad but a broken wire can cause the same symptoms .

Good Luck
