Default Any ideas please?

Hey folks, new to the site, encountered an issue and thought I'd ask here to see if I can self help it before going to a garage.
2007 Sportster 883, fired up today and had forgotten to fuel up on the way home last time round. It fired up fine, but then died. Suspecting it was just fuel I added 5L. Bike now cranks but won't start.
So far i have checked the fuses, all fine. The relays are fine. I can hear the click and then the fuel pump priming when turning the ignition on also. A friend suggested low battery so i tried once more with the booster cables attached.
Any suggestions or anyone who has had a similar experience most welcome 🙂
Thanks in advance 👍

Dirty fuel filter from running it that low.

Charge the battery. Toss the jumper cables back in the truck. Once full charge try onec more if it don't fire then try a littel starting fluid I many a little se if it fires.

I'll add to the above: Pull the plugs and see if they are dry or wet. While they are out, check if its sparking.

Does it have a valve on the tank to shut the gas off?

I doubt it since it's a fuel injected bike,I still find myself reaching for the petcock to be sure I'm not on reserve after filling up my 2019 Electra then realize there isn't one.
4 years and I haven't broken the habit,it's my first fuel injected bike in 50 + years of riding. lol

👍
Booster cables can be tricky. Need to rev the donor up a bit, and good connection. I would try a battery charge on 10 amps and see if that changes the sounds. I would also try charging the battery over night.

I am starting to prefer jump packs to jumper cables.

Spark?

you don't ever have the car/:truck running when using jumper cables on a bike.

Then it probably won't start, in my experience.
