They all have adjustable down speed. Just press gently.

That's kinda where my head is at. But according to the reviews, a lot of the earlier versions of the HD lift didn't have that feature. That's kinda why I'm asking for input from someone who has gotten one recently and used it to know it HD did indeed fix that issue. I'd certainly want to think they have, but........

How adjustable is the drop speed on you Craftsman?
Mine is OLD like late 90s old. My brother gave it to me. It has a foot pedal. It takes some finesse to bring it down slowly. I need to buy something new. That's why I'm watching this thread

And that's why I'm curious about the drop speed of a newer HD model......
Those type will fall like a rock if you are not careful.

I put my zip in the "Check other stores" link and it shows one store unavailable and several stores to contact. Maybe there's a store near by you can get some verification on this.

Yeah, I did the zip code thing for me as well and there's like one store in the Central Valley that has one......... allegedly. Still out on a western states ride for a week or so and have to ask them when I get back. Just wanting drop rate verification on one.

Is this the one you have? How adjustable/sensitive is the drop rate on this one?
