Has anyone here done a DIY seat modification to remove the 'weave panel' from a Road King Classic seat? If so, can you share pics of how it looks afterwards? And, perhaps. explain what you did?

I want to remove this from a seat I currently have. I'm fine with finding a local upholstery shop to do the work, but thought I would ask here before making calls.

There appears to only be stitching behind the driver section of the seat - the rest of the panel is held in place by a strap below the seat. It really doesn't look like a huge job...but my knowledge of upholstery work is pretty much zero.
