Default Stripped 12 point head on brake pad pin???

One of the brake pad pins on the front caliper on my 2001 FXST has the head stripped. It's a 12 point 10mm head...

What can I do to get this thing off?

There is VERY LITTLE room to get anything on it.

Never stripped mine. Sounds like someone tried to use a 6 point socket on it. Try a big pair of channel locks or vice grips, or maybe even a smaller socket like 9mm.

Possibly try drilling and using an easy out. If it is the pad pin it should not be too excessively tight. Good Luck

I'd suggest going to NAPA and buying a bolt extractor made by IRWIN. You can buy them individually or in a set. It works like a socket with teeth, the more torque you put on it the deeper the teeth set. Works like a champ.

Get you one of the bolt extractors they work great trust me iam an industrial maintenance man and we use them all the time on rounded off bolt heads. Use the drilling and easy out as last resort. Other option is small pair of vise grips and you may pop it loose.
this is what everyone is talking about
