I'm about to shoot the darn thing ...

I'm about to shoot the darn thing ...
I've solved my oil pressure problem. Now I cannot get it to start. My plugs seem to be getting fouled with fuel and no gas in my S&S Super B carb (it should shoot a bit of fuel into the carb when I turn the accelerator right?). Even with my oil pressure problem, at least it was starting. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If it's a Super-E yes it should but it sounds like you're getting fuel, maybe check the ignition?

Remember the old saying, Air, fuel and spark. You have fuel, so is your breather plugged? Spark? Could you have disconnected a coil line when working on your bike.
I didn't see any other of your threads saying what's up with your bike, so if you can give us a quick rehash, I'm sure we can offer some suggestions.

Okay ... here's the short version: 1984 XLX 1000
I originally had a stuck float in my S&S B carb ... fixed that.
The next issue was a battery not charging ... replaced voltage regulator ... fixed that.
I changed the oil and chaincase oil ... suddenly pressure back up causing the fill cap to blow off ... cleared vent and
changed filter ... fixed that
Mechanic suggested I check oil pressure switch ... thing was so brittle that when I unscrewed the idiot light wire the plastic
end of the switch broke off ... replaced the switch
Now, I go to start the bike it starts momentarily and then quits ... I try to start again and I get no spark
Battery is charged and good
I replaced the plugs ... after trying again with same result I discovered the plugs were wet with fuel
The carb was out of whack when I got it from original owner a few weeks ago. Before today I could at least get it started to adjust the carb if needed. Could the carb settings be so screwed up that it immediately fouls the plugs and won't start? I'm not sure if it's the 90 degree weather or what but my patience is wearing thin. Any suggestions??

Sounds like the motor is flooding out, if you are getting spark from the coils to the plugs. That's what you have to determine first, by doing a spark test. If the spark test is good, I think the carb is way out of adjustment or possibly the floats are still givin a problem, go to the S&S website to see how to properly adjust the carb. That's where I would start, you keep on and you'll get that bike running good, you've come too far to turn back now.
