Will try go make this short, lol. So redoing a '95 Springer Bad Boy(drove 900 miles 1 way to get the bike and it ended up having all the tins dinted and bike would hardly start, but thats a story for a different day. So I brought home a dinted up Bad Boy). Had my first bike '02 Night Train painted by Ben Hagen back in 2010, was a decent job and decent price. Figured I'd use him again on this Bad Boy. Since it would never be original again I'd change it up a bit and do black reflective scallops. Bought Billy Lanes fugly *** tins off that '95 Bad Boy he's been posting videos of fixing up. Had them drop shipped to Iowa to save me money. So a simple job of repainting tins black and cutting and putting on reflective scallops. Well took me over a year to get the tins back after being told it would be a month or so for them to be done. Once I got them back the reflective material was wrinkled so bad in multiple places and the pinstripping was basically like what you received, and paint runs all over the place and the scallops didn't even line up on the tank or rear fender and not centered on the front fender. There was still yellow paint from the previous paint job showing on the bottom where the tanks mount and showing on the fenders as well. Messaged him right away saying now I know why it took so long to get my tins back because of it being such a **** job. He said the material was hard to work with, flames are my specialty. Told him he should've just said that he was having issues and we would've went a different direction with the paint job. He told me to ship them back and he'd do a great flame job for me and also custom paint something for me to display on my wall for my troubles. After deciding to not just do Bad Boy scallop decals because I figured he'd **** that up as well I decided to just let him do flames again. After him having them for 3 months I still had heard from him unless I contacted him first. Told me he'd finish them after Christmas(2023)and I'd have them back right away. So 3 months into 2024 and I still didn't have them and continued to stay in touch and kept getting lies. Told they will ship out next week(around beginning of April '24). Didn't hear from him from him and threatened to drive to Iowa and he replied quickly back to me that he was in the E.R. but tins were done and once he was out he'd messaged me and get them shipped. Nothing for almost a month then got a reply back that "This is Sarah his wife, he's in the ICU", and I should contact her at her phone number for anymore info. So I Messaged that number a week or so later trying to find out what as going on with Ben and ICU and wasn't pressing about the tins. Never got a reply to any of my texts from the number I was given. So here we are in like June '24 and I see Ben posting on his FB page again so I comment, hey man, you're back home? I've been messaging you with 0 replies. He delete my comment and text me from his number that I had. Told him I was texting the number "his wife" gave me with no replies. He said oh man, I was on so may drugs "I"gave you the wrong # So it wasn't even his wife I delta with. And then the story he almost died and isn't supposed to paint anymore, and that he hadn't even painted my tins but as soon as he could get back to it he would just get them done and back to me as fast as his health would let him.....2 months pass and he messages me while I'm at Sturgis that he doesn't even have the color I asked for and offered different options. Had these tins for almost a year again and didn't even have my color there. So I settled on a different color.... few weeks pass and I have to contact him again and finally a few days later get pics of painted tins. Wasn't any ghost flames as I had asked for 10 months earlier but told him just get them finished and back to me, I was over it and just get the tins finished and shipped. He had my dash console as well to paint match to the tins and I have to message him again after he ignored text for a couple weeks and he says I forgot to paint your dash console and don't have anymore of that color of paint. I went off on him again and he got attitude and said he was done with me, that he almost died... and was putting the unpainted dash in the box with the tins and shipping them out. Had them a week later and as you guessed it, pinstripes are **** again, still yellow paint on the bottom spots of the tins as well and imperfections throughout the paint job. So I got them back towards labor day weekend and soon before that he has changed the name from Hagen Kustoms to Speed Revival. And once we decided we was going flames instead of scallops it was a month or so to just get my Bad Boy emblems back, was just Is continuous lies for 3+ years. Here's the link to his new named page. Sorry about the short story, but people need to know what kind of guy Benjamin Jon Hagen is and to not give him their tins or business. Yup, he sure likes to take your money and screw people over. I noticed he changed his Facebook page back to Hagen Kustoms the other day and from the comments it looks like he's still taking jobs on people's tins. Pretty amazing considering he told me he almost died and doctors have told him to retire from painting for health reasons. And then told me he had to sell personal stuff so he could even afford the $50 return shipping on my tins. Complete asshat and scam artist. Someday he's going to meet the wrong individual in person and find out....

 

I got the heart attack excuse when he failed to have my stuff back after a year. This dude is either a drug addict or a pathological liar. He just needs to be exposed for the fraud that he is
