Default Sturgis 2019

Ok, I know it is 10 months away, but I had such a great time out there that I (meaning the wife and I) already booked for next year. Anyone else planning on going?

This year (2018) we stayed at Glencoe and had a great time, met up with rizzo and did some awesome riding...but in an effort to experience other things, this next year we are gonna stay at Pappy Hoel....the Full Throttle Saloon campground. Any experience here? We thought the FTS was cool as **** and would like to experience at night. Since I won't touch a drop till I'm done riding we figured why not just stay there!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can't wait to go back!

We go a week early or a week latter .
The same crowd, well a little smaller, plus the motels are not 800 and more a week.
Same vendors, same roads.
A little more enjoyable.

We were there "in the thick of it" this year and didn't find it not-enjoyable. Aside from those thinking they needed to ride 30mph over the speed limit everywhere they went, which cause them to "push" you, I had a great time. When that happened, I just moved over and waved them by.

Then again, we only went downtown the last day we were there to get a few shirts and such....otherwise, we were out ridin. Booked during this next year too, have our campsite for 8/5-8/11.

Headed there from Chicago, staying the first half of the week. I prefer to stay in Rapid City tho, one night in the campgrounds is usually enough for me.

Following.

Unsure when I'll go back tho never sure when I'll get a wild hair. I too usually tack it onto the back end of a tour on the way home.

We're taking two weeks for vaca this year. Glacier, 2 sapphire mines to mine, then i had mapped us going to sturgis. Then I got a hair up my bum decided to see how many miles from helena MT to Glenwood springs CO. That way we can finish a past trip through southern CO. After 18 years of sturgis 2 days is enough anymore

CO- everything south of I-70 is the place to be. Though I-70 itself is really good from Denver - west.
