Default Trip Around Arrowhead of MN

Just returned a couple days ago from a trip around the Arrowhead of MN, gotta say the roads between Fort Frances Ontario and Thunder Bay were way smoother then expected. Made for a great ride across to Kakabeka Falls and Thunder Bay. Coming down Hwy 61 along North Shore of Lake Superior has rough spots and Labor Day weekend was busy as expected, ride back north on Labor Day via Hwy 53 was nice as it seemed most traffic was headed south and we had two lanes headed north to ourselves, seemed almost like a movie as we rode side by side on the four lane with no traffic in front or behind us for miles.

I don't live far from that area. I can get to the US/Canada border on 61 in 3 hours. There's a lot of scenic riding in NE Minnesota
