Hobo - ebay can be your friend.

When I did my FL front end conversion I found a new aftermarket set of tins on ebay for about $80 + shipping. Came with all the screws and mounting hardware. Can't say the chrome quality was up there with OEM, but it was a place to start for low $.

Also found a used fatboy headlight on eaby for $75, it even came with the fancy trim ring I was planning to get.

The first photo shows how the 'beer cans' bolt on to the lower triple tree ...



The second photo shows the threaded boss on the lower and upper triple trees where the tins are affixed ...

finally got round to fitting my fatboy front end, i still need to paint the fatboy mudguard i have and i need a bigger headlight, but im happy with it.

So what do you think of the handling with a 16 inch wheel?

ive had the 16 ins wheel on before and i prefer it. ive tried a 21 ins and a 19 ins but always go back to the 16.

I just got my used Switchback fender. I'm not sure how long it will be before I will be able to get it painted. Anyone know if the Softtail coffin tail light will fit without modding? I intend to strip it down and fill in the holes anyway. I got the fender off ebay for $167 including shipping. I'll probably be keeping the Superglide front end, but will be adding a 21 inch wheel and probably air ride in future. I already have the floorboards, but haven't installed them yet.
