Go for the Metal, since the tank is already painted you wont have the clear coat to protect the sticker

fskitch asked.
Jack-have you considered the daymaker or non harley equivalent? Supposed to really light up the road. I'm okay with the OEM 7"- big improvement from the headlamp that came stock on my street bob.
The Daymaker lamps for left side dip market are not cost effective and work against the retro look.
With the spots working and a premium globe in the 7" lamp it's as good as I can hope for. I try to ride for the conditions presented. So far so good.

Got the badges ordered...stayed up til 1am last night putting her all back together. I lost a nut in the engine somewhere by the transmission and spent an hour and a half looking for it before I found another bolt combo that would work. Also removed the reflectors, no idea why it look me so long to do this. Anyways....enjoy!
I had to get a little creative with my zip ties so the clutch and the t/i cables wouldn't rub.

I would say that you definitely got your moneys worth with that paint job. Very nice and unique.

my wife took her state boards today and passed with flying colors . she has job offers with big sign on bonuses . she is taking a few weeks to relax and decide what job to take . my problem is I found a cool silver switchback at good price and a nice softail slim 110 . I know in just a few months I can build what I want but its hard not to just go buy a new bike . having said that I have also found several dynas I can pick up for around 5k . I like having a carbed bike I can tune but a six speed would be nice whats everyones thought on carbed vs 6spd

Congrats to the ol'lady Sonny! It is really hard to answer your question about the bike, a new bike is always nice, but a project bike is always nice too. Is it fisable to pick up a "newer" bike and fixer upper, one for riding and one for tinkering.
