@ FOCI: I too have a 2006 FLHX. Have replaced the small brackets that support the speakers twice and the main brackets 2 times as well in the 6 years and 46,000 miles that I have had it.
I'm about the furthest thing from a mechanic but was able to replace both myself.
Speaker support brackets are about 30 mins or less by yourself for both sides.
Main support brackets are about 90 mins if you have someone to help hold stuff up for you while you make the swap.
A shop manual or some snaps of where everything goes before disassembly and even a dude with 10 butter covered thumbs like me can do it.
