Motor Officer recertification today...aced it! Damn I love getting paid to ride!

The guys/girls are just going thru our requals this week...a few new ones in the mix. I just moved from the Unit (promoted) so it's a mixed blessing...we have a 7yr max and I'm in my 7th...would have stayed with the squad forever I'm sure...loved it.

We did some advanced stuff today, first time seeing several new patterns. The Little General, The Winged Wheel, The Cloverleaf...fun stuff!

...ahhh...the cloverleaf...my nemesis...it's a love/hate thing...

We were doing (trying) some of the basic patterns without any brakes. That'll make ya pay attention! I was able to do the offset weave and the intersection but never got the keyhole. Had a blast though!

Hey Guys, most of you know me but I'm Terry, the Admin here. Do we have any Masonic Brothers in the Law Enforcement field here? I helped create this forum and I've also created a very successful Masonic Forum here on the "Social Group" network so feel free to stop by and say howdy, I've been retired from Law Enforcement since March of 2006 and am now hammering it out at Home Depot. They love us old guys there because we show up everyday. I have to admit that I don't miss Law Enforcement like I thought I would. There is s reason they let us retire and draw at 50!

Damn Terry, I wish I could retire at 50! I can finally go at 59 (14 more years!) I will have 35 years of service at that point. Hope I make it!

I also retired at age 50 with 30 years. The Sheriff's Office hired me at 20 and at 21 I transferred to the PD for 29 more years. 25 years/Age 50 for us. Not that I could stay retired as I now train dogs for a federal agency as a contractor.

Hello Friends, I am still working in the business. Beat cop for 5 years, Detective for 6 years, Promoted to Chief in 2004. Got about 30 Months till full retirement. Probably going to take the package and go. Times sure are changing in Law enforcement. Our retirement system for our new hires makes them stay for 30 years now.

Been on HDF for awhile and stupid me just noticed this group. Retired Sergeant from a Northern California agency here. Spent five glorious years as a Motor Sergeant, 25 years as a cop. Retired to the San Diego area to be near the grand kids and golf.
