Boner, Welcome to the Nightster's Group. I like the idea of drag bars. That is the one major mod I have left that I would like to do to my bike. They only thing holding me back is I'm concerned about the change in riding position. I'm so comfy riding on my bike now, I hate to screw that up!

I'm concerned about that too. I wonder if we could put the Sportster 48 bars on the Nightsters. I'm sure the headlight hood would have to be removed and if it's not detachable, cut it off or use a different headlight. Then you could use the speedo bracket you already have on the 48 handlebars. Relocate your turn signals to the forks, invert the mirrors so you're not staring at your shoulders. I've been thinking about the 48 handlebars. A service guy at one of the dealerships "didn't see why 48 handlebars wouldn't fit on a Nightster." That didn't leave me feeling very confident. haha

Christy, do you still have the mid-controls or do you have forwards? I love my mids but I'm getting tired of the pilates moves I have to do while riding to stretch my legs out.

Where can I find a front signal relocation kit from?

I have mids, but I also have highway pegs on my engine guards for when I need to stretch out. The bars on the 48 "should" fit from what I've seen, but I know what you mean about not feeling confident in what the service guys say!

Boner, they have relocation kit from HD part # 68643-09. They stick out a bit to far for my likeing. The 48's are already mounted on the forks with a shorter stem, but they also use a completly different turn signal housing that you would have to purchase as well. It was a little to pricey for me right now.

Is there a catalog for HD parts for the Nightster or just the website??

Yeah, there is a catalog, you have to get it from your dealer. I remember getting one when I bought my bike, but not sure if you have to pay for them or what. Of course the catalog is not always up to date with new parts etc. The website does not have nearly all the available parts.
