Ok so I noticed my right turn signal on my 01 Heritage Softail blinks fast. Here's the mystery. I will take the bulb which is brand new, remove it and put it back in and turn on ignition to test and all works well, right turn signal will flash normal. I can press and depress the right turn signal several times no problem. However, once I hit the left turn signal, something weird happens and immediately the next time I press the right turn signal, it will start blinking quickly, and the only way to reset it is start over by removing bulb, replacing etc. But again and again, once I use that left turn signal, the right turn signal will go back to blinking quickly. One more thing, if I use my hazards, both blink normally and simultaneously. Any suggestions, feedback, or support would be greatly appreciated!

My 06 Street Bob is acting very similarly. 6 rapid blinds when I turn the bike on. Sometimes the right turn signal works and sometimes it does not. I am guessing that it is a short because I have tested the bulbs and they are working.

Found the problem last night. The lead to my directional had come loose from it's clip under the rear fender and had been rubbed by the tire. The wires were bare and shorting out. Once I fixed the issue the rapid blinking went away.
