A little about myself, Im currently active duty STG1(SW) working at FLEASWTRACEN in San Diego as the Sonar Supervisor Instructor. I was stationed on the USS Decatur DDG-73 for 5 years. Ive been in the Navy for a little less than 7 years now and Im wishing I was back on sea duty.

Well guys it still looks like I'm the only Bubble Head here. A little about me, I'm in now just over 9 yrs. I'm an MM1 (nuc type) I just got rejected for Cheif on my 2nd look. I'm currently in up state N.Y. at the prototype. I got orders to the U.S.S. Tuscon out of Pearl and report in Jan.

Matt, how's the Nuc world these days? Went to NucPwrScol at Mare Island, and prototype at A-1W in Idaho. I commissioned the USS California DLGN-36 a few years ago (1973). Got into a bit of a scrape with the CO over a log he ordered falsified and told them "I quit" being a Nuc. I got busted to E-4 (imagine that!) and he got promoted to Rear Admiral (and imagine that!!). They threw me outta Nuc, off the ship, and onto the USS America.

Served 6-years, 1.5 of which was "A" and "B" Schools along with FRAMP training. Went on to the E2C community and supported the aircraft at the "I" level. My Squadron VAW-126 was assigned to the USS-JFK and did tons of work-ups and 1 Med Cruise. Remember The Piano Bar in Naples? I'll never forget it! Made it to AT2 but the rating filled up to where I couldn't make At1....Decided to get out. Learned a lifetime in those 6-years....If I had to do it over I would do at least 20 and get that ticket punched!!!!!
