Default Sidecar Gearing

I now have a georgeous new Hannigan Heritage sidecar mated to my stock '17 Road King. After puttering about for the last month or so, I'm ready to do what any respectable Harley owner would do - start modifying, of course. I'll be 75 shortly (hence the hack), so I'm unlikely to need triple digit speeds in the future and it occurs to me that a lower (correct terminology?) gear ratio might be easier on the bike. Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Gearing is fine if you feel you are lugging it drop a gear. You have a wide operating range on the 2017 Even my 1996 EVO does just fine with stock gearing and it has no where near the power of the the 2017.
Pictures Please.

I went from a 32 to a 31 tooth tranny pulley on my '00 Screaming Eagle Roadglide with a Hannigan hack, made pulling hills easier. But, your M8 Road King 6 speed has more torque at lower revs than my 95" stage ll 5 speed had at maximum output, so it should pull the hack just fine.

But of course, more power is never a bad thing.
Did you mount the hack yourself, or have Hannigan do it?
I expect to add a Hannigan hack to my '16 Road Glide this spring, undecided if I will mount it myself (did the last one myself), or have Hannigan do it.

Love to see pics of your rig.

I trailed my RK down to Hannigan (two day trip) for them to fit the hack. I arrived there Monday morning and was out of there Thursday evening. I did this mainly because I hadn't had a hack in the last 40 years and figured I wasn't going to try to reinvent the wheel at this point in my life. Now that I'm comfortable driving it, I will be tweaking the rig a bit. With more experience and less age, I would probably have it shipped up and rig it myself but I'm not sorry I had them do it. I will post some pictures shortly - after I clean it again.
