Sidecar Purchase
Installing a sidecar on my softtail crossbones and have decided either go with Transmoto or Liberty. When buying a liberty one they add steering dampeners onto the sidecar but it doesn't appear transmoto does. Will it make a big difference?

Just depends on how the setup goes . Mounting will be a bit of trail and error. Same applies weather or not you need a raked tree or not.
I have one on my 1996 FatBoy softail. No raked trees and a basic Stabilizer for the steering works well.
You might want to dig around on this sight they offer a lot of options if you look around.

The rake will make the rig steer easier and handle better. DMC sidecars or Pete at Liberty sidecars would probably be a wealth of info. on this and would share the pros/cons on raking the front end . Harley-Davidson even had an adjustable triple tree (option) for early years to late 70's Big Twins that could be set for sidecar(raked out) or 2 wheel use (standard rake). That said, I have seen and even ridden an FLH with standard rake and it can be done. But IMO "raked tree or modified rake in springer" would be well worth the $$ spent.
