Trikes
Ahoy trike riders! Sure would be interesting to hear about the difference riding a trike is. What "things" you have to watch out for? Is cornering an issue like with a sidecar? Is accelleration and stopping an issue?
Nice looking trike. I go to Laconia dealership all the time and they sell Lehmans Trikes. I've met a couple people and have seen the various options one can have with a trike.
I always wondered do trikes have the same cautionary riding moments as sidecar rigs? What I mean by that is I find myself doing alot more slowing down and braking, is that the same with a trike? I imagine you have to be wary of lifting that wheel on either side in the corners? I think the difference between a trike and a sidecar is the sidecar has to be forced to go in the direction the bike is going because the sidecar wheel is set. On a trike the 2 rear wheels happily follow the lead of the front tire? Is there any tugging or "muscling" going on?

A trike is way different than a sidecar, let me put it to you this way I can ride it like a bat out of hell and not even lift a wheel or I can drive it 5 mph and cut the bars hard and spin it on a dime. If you ride with a side car you need ballast in the car all the time but if I'm wrong a hack will correct me.

Hack
In most cases only a trike with independent suspen. can corner fast without the outside wheel not leaving the ground and trying to flip you. Most if not all s/c's try to raise [fly the car] the s/c wheel on right turns and try to nose dive, the s/c, on left turns.
Mine handles well at all speeds. The rear wheels have never tried to raise on me. Only problem I've evercome across is that if I go into a curve too fast the rear end kind of overpowers the front end and tends to try to push you. Like everything else it just takes some getting used to and paying attention to what your doing. Other than that I love the ride and handling.

I know this is the wrong place to post this request, but if you know anyone who is looking to sell a trike... please pm me. I have a local computer illiterate friend seriously looking for a trike with the HD front in tact and I have posted a request in the Wanted section to no avail.
Again, I apologize for breaking in your thread.
I like the looks of the trikes, but I REALLY like the Leaning in the corners...
