Pulling a trailer
you can not pull a goose neck travel trailer or a large boat with and ultra. 3 or more axles are not recommended either. i would think you have enough storage without pulling a trailer. if you can afford a new ultra and a trailer, you can afford a motel...but to each his own.
You can certainly pull a trailor with your Ultra but you will probably void your warranty.
fwiw, I've used my trailer a lot more than I've used my warranty. And I can unbolt my hitch and you'd never know it had been there.
I can afford an Ultra, a new Triglide, a trailer and even a hotel room. Yes I'm thinking about pulling a trailer with my Triglide because the wife likes to tote a lot of stuff and I don't plan on going camping.

We just turned 90,000 on our bike and the majority of those miles have been with a trailer. Granted we have tried a few trips without but no matter how light we pack it's still a pain to load the bike. You start out on a cold morning and it warms up- where do we put the leathers? Is it going to rain this weekend? Do we take the rain gear? You stop for lunch and need to take the helmets in with you. With a trailer, if it fits, throw it in.
I pull a simple "tag-along" trailer put out by harbor freight and it works great for the couple of trips a year my wife and I need the trailer for the extra packing needed.
