Default no street for me.

I tried hard to buy one. Only one dealer responded to my requests and they wouldnt even try to get the color(Wicked Red) that I wanted. I am done with HD. I bought my 1st one in '71 and many since. I will keep my Deluxe(love it).
I bought an'18, metallic Jade, Indian Scout. I really like this bike a lot. It is a lot of motorcycle for the money. It feels lighter than it's 550#. 100 HP,8300 rpm's. The paint, fit & finish are top shelf. The buying experience was straight-forward.
They didnt try to steal my pocket change or charge me for air, battery leads, etc. They encourage test rides. I dont see how anyone wouldnt want one after riding.

Good for you.

I've never seen a Scout in person, so I tried the Indian website. They have a forced email signup, so im signed up.

I forgot to add:even the tires are top shelf,Pirreli Night Dragons. Aftermarket stuff is not like a Harley but that should improve.

Congrats on the new bike. I would expect that the Scout would be nicer, considering the MSRP is 4k more. I'm interested in why you were cross shopping bikes with such a vast difference in price? The scout sixty is still more but is closer in price the the 750.

Not being snarky, it just seems like a strange comparison.

Cost did not factor in to my search for an additional motorcycle. I wanted a modern, liquid cooled, fan assisted, overhead cam bike that would be fun on the 2-lane mountain roads and still make me happy as a good looking American ride. The Scout fills my want. 100Hp & 8300rpm isnt bad either. I looked at Motti-Guzzi's, they were disappointing cheap looking and no dealers. I looked at Triumphs, theY look good,Not a fan of Chains, tube tires, or made in Taiwan.

Exactly!
I am in the process that we all know so well of accesorising. I took off the passenger pegs & pad,put on a small hard to notice windshield,a fender rack is next when it shows up. Maybe some mufflers and a Mustang seat with backrest.
It's been raining for days here and I cant ride anyway. If It turns out to be a big piece of **** I'll let you know.
