I won't lie
I'm a for the most part a pre 84 purist. I do however have a 95 T glide in my stable, along with a couple shovels and a pan that I'll probably be projectin on til I die. Point I'm trying to make is this - until very recently my newest bike was 26 yrs old. Its by far the young one of the bunch too.
I will ride anything 2 wheels, because fun is fun, right? But if my name is on the title it will be a harley.
Anyway, recently I came across a street 750 that just did something for me and took it for a test ride. Done.
It definitely wouldnt be my only ride but holy **** this little bike is a blast! While mine is slightly modified, these bikes are great for what they are. Having a small issue with the dealer I bought it from but its nothing we cant work out. Glad to park it in my shop.
Have fun with em guys, no matter what anybody says. Just wanted to share a few pics of my newest albeit different addition

I'd say your bike is a bit more than slightly modified. It looks good. If I were to get another Street I'd like to build it as a scrambler without venturing much past bolt on parts.
I think you hit the nail on the head that a big part of owning and liking these bikes is accepting that they are what they are. Mine cost 2/3 of what an Iron 883 would have cost me. It has what some people would see as shortcomings, but I don't mind so they don't matter.
