Default Police scooters/models, special seats?

Just ran across this on my feed and sort of got fixated on the seats on these 2017 Electra Glide classics. Miami PD training, but cool and never saw them or knew much about them.

Yep, I concur, they are the best seat ever made for a motorcycle. The air bladder made for a very comfortable ride.

I like they call a drop a "unscheduled dismount"

Hahaha right! I found it interesting the some in that video had NEVER even ridden a bike, so no top of learning the rest of LEO 101 they're learning to ride fresh too. Goes to show it can be done though.

Is the air bladder seat like only available on police models or to LEOs only I wonder, a factory thing?

Look comfy but ugly as sin on a newer bike. A old 40 - 50's bike yes.

The seat is OEM on all FLHP's
novice riders are supposedly a good thing for motors in training, instructors don't have to deal with bad habits from experienced riders

Motor Officer school is one of the hardest things in Law Enforcement. Especially if you are an experienced recreational rider. They say its better to start off with no experience and learn the right way, than to have to unlearn bad habits. The first week will have your arms so sore you cant imagine from the continuous turning movements and from picking up the bike. The solo seats that we had on our Road Kings when I was riding back in the 1999 thru 2004 were really comfortable. Air ride adjustable back then. What a ride and what a experience.

FYI they are no longer air ride, now supported by a spring. I have one on my Road King.

the air bladder wasn't reliable, tend to leak, probably why HD changed to a spring
