dialing in a Crane Hi-4tc on 01 FLHT
Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. Was hoping to get some feed back on a recent upgrade.
The bike -
01 FLHT 88K miles
1550 kit
42 Mikuni
203 cam
open air cleaner
Rinehart dual exhaust
I just put in a Crane Hi-4tc and can not get it dialed in -
Current settings are
Mode - 0
Rear cylinder - 0
Initial timing - (-4)
Advance slope - 7
Rev - 5500
I'm getting a lot of pinging and can not get it out.
I had the screaming eagle adjustable ignition in before with these setting (Mode - 3, Spark advance - (-4)) and it was running fine. I was hoping to get more performance out of the Crane. If I can get it close to dialed-in, I'll have it dynoed in Myrtle for fine tuning.
