Default External breather bolts with Screamin eagle high flow (stage 1) air cleaner

Has anyone installed the following external breather bolts with a screamin eagle high flow stage 1 air cleaner?
https://www.jpcycles.com/product/200...breather-bolts

I am trying to vent out the crank without having to drill the backplate.

Thanks.

Even if you haven't, I'd like to get your thoughts on it.

I think it's an oily mess waiting to happen.

I use the external breather bolts that are supplied with my DK air filter. If you have the proper amount of crankcase oil, there is no mess. I keep my oil level about 1/2 way up on the dip stick. I get very little to no misting from the breather bolts. Oil level is the key.

I have tried with the oil level at 1/3 between the marks. Still no luck. Someone suggested I try with straight w50. That may be it because I have tried syn3, amsoil 20w50 and Mobil. I'll try w50 and see if that makes any difference. If not, I will replace my air cleaner to something that allows the easy installation of external breather.
What filter were you referring to in your above post which has an external breather included in the kit?
Regards.

I did a bypass but didn't use the breather type bolts. Try to find a different AC to do it right and bring a hose down to a catch can or vent to below the bike.
Your engine will be happier without the oil recirculation back into the heads.

See posts 3 and 6. It’s going to be an ugly mess.

This is what I did with the Stage 1 cleaner. Works very well. Several others went this route. I didn't invent it so no credit here.
Costs about $5.00 - $10.00 using the breather bolts that came with the cleaner.

Thanks Gozz! That's exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate. Not only did you give me a potential fix for my bike's problem, I also gained knowledge about carbon removal ??
