Hello everyone
Hello I am new here but not new to riding,I ride a 06 road king , and a 01 sportster 883 and I am having problems with no spark on the 883, made a left turn and died, I put a new coil and a new battery on her and it turns over and gets fuel ...I can smell the fuel but no spark what so ever .....called harley and they said it seemed like a wire problem, I took the tank off to look for a break in a wire and found a clip under the tank with a grey with black wire, green, and black wire and cannot find where to clip it....please help

You should find a connector hanging about, just above and in between the cylinders heads.

well, it probably is the ignition pickup or module.
redneck test:
pull the wire off the coil going to the module, the module grounds the wire to build magnetic flux into the coil and when it cuts power, the coil will discharge.
with the wire off, you should have battery voltage on both sides of the coil with key on. take a jumper and ground one side to mc and then rake or flash other wire to open coil terminal, the coil should fire the plugs, if so, look toward the pickup or module.
another issue is the bank angle sensor, if it tripped and stayed, it cuts power to the ignition module but you can jump around it to see it the mc will run. i have an 01 sport and do not run it due to the lean angle i sometimes do, do not want power failure in a curve.
do you have the FSM?
