Power Commander - Worth it for a stock bike?

Power Commander - Worth it for a stock bike?
I've been hearing about the Power Commander everywhere and it seems to be the way to go when doing mods. My question is, I'm running stock as a rock and will for a while until I absorb the initial impact of the cost of my 2005 Harley. Would a Power Commander and dyno tune be a good investment for me? I'm not complaining. Bike runs like a top except for a few pops in the right muffler every now and then, which I assume is partially caused by the Calif. EPA catalyst. Doesn't bother me all that much. Your advice is appreciated.

Would it make a difference? yes Would I buy 1 for a stock bike? no I would just wait until you get your mods and then do it. If you wanna know how your bike is running you can always take it and get a baseline dyno run which will show your Hp/Tq curve and let you know if the bike is running good or having any types of problems.

I agree that the PC is probably not necessary for a stock bike if only because you really don't need to do anything to the ignition timing. You might consider a DFO, however, in order to have something to allow you to richen the mix. In the event you get a PC later, you can always sell the DFO.
