The DAF176 will work for you too. If the DAE176 causes your floorboards/pegs to vibrate stop and go with the DAF. IMO, best to start smaller and go up than it is to start big and go down.

That's common.

First make sure you are using good stock spark plugs and wires. IF not, install them and run another datascan. Next increase your VE's in those areas, for that cylinder, by 5% then 10% to see if goes away. Third, if necessary, remove 2 or 3* timing for that cylinder at the point where knock is recorded.

new bike with 4000 miles so good plugs and wires. curious why increasing VE's vs removing timing? i should have added I had added to timing in those areas vs stock download to begin with. thanks

The majority of knock retard found while tuning is around 3000 to 4000 RPM's in the higher 80 kPa and up areas with 40% or more throttle. If the plugs are good then the majority of knock retard is lack of fuel. Go there first then remove timing if needed.

Adding to your timing tables before you VTune is backwards. VTune first, remove knock retard, work your timing tables then VTune again.

Sorry I was not very clear. I vtuned and ended up with a very good vtune. I was able to fill the majority of cells green at all rpms and kpa my final vtune produced nearly all white with some light pink and very little yellow and those were in the areas not attainable ie 750-1000 rpm at 70kpa, I even got a light pink at 1500rpm 70kpa all rpmskpa to 6000 looked good. When I was done with this I decided to mess with the timing. I did spark data runs and started going more aggressive until I started getting a little spark retard in those areas I described ie ~2000 rpms 89-90+kpa and pulling a hill at 3000-3200 90kpa the only retard was in areas that I had added considerable timing and nly during those high load wack the throttle at low rpm high gear situations.

My bad... replying here, it's easy to get everyone mixed up.

If you add until you get knock retard spikes then bring her back down. You'll be fine. Also be sure to highlight your entire timing tables and remove 2 to 3* for safety factor.

Would love to see some of your runs and final.

Before you start to retune. Please check your 02 sensor depth and angle. You need a minimum of 3/8" in the exhaust stream. My 07 Rinehart TD's were a mess which caused me long hours of tuning lost.

Hey guys...

I know is looks like I'm a post ***** here but I sit at a computer all day. There are many of you that know tons more than I do about the TTS and tuning. Sure would appreciate hearing from you.
