Was there a recall on the 8 degree or just a service buelltin? Hope this isn't a dumb question I look up the info in the various forums but didn't get that info out of it.

That's a good question.
I too have heard some chatter on the topic,
but I haven't recieved a bulletin or a recall.
Is this for all EFI or year, model specific?

Now i know that it is a service bulletin. But i am curious as to if harley started putting 25s on new bikes. Also how would one tell if they have 8 degree injectors? would it be by build date or do you need to take a look at the actual injector?

You all need to utilize the search function....

This is a dead horse.....

The 25's have been the norm on the 06 CVO's...

The 8's are too small for the new 46mm Induction module....

Not all bikes are bearing the brunt... Mostly Touring bikes.....

25's are the norm on all bikes since mid Feb....

No RECALL....

You can tell by the part # on your injector....

They made the switch to the 25° CVO injectors around the middle of Feb. 2006.

I have an interesting and puzzleing situation. I had the 25 degree injectors changed out, not so much that I wanted it as the dealer felt I needed it I had one incident with a bad stumble, and near rear ended leaving a stop light, so when the bike went in for the 5K sevice, they changed them out. Here's the twist, since then the motor idles rougher, it smells rich at idle, doesn't pull without initial hesitation when feeding full throttle at moderate speed and about 3K rpm. But here's the real puzzle, it also has the 6200 rpm redline....I didn't think this was in the recalibration with the changeout of the injectors? It's been awhile since the changeout, but I'm taking it back in to have the dealer varify exactly what calibration was done, I'm betting it was the stage one. My bike is bone stock, and I'm even willing to pay out of pocket for them to check it, I'm confident it's not right.
Thanks,
Mark

Mine were replaced at 1000 mile service when I had the stage 1 done & dyno tuned. It's a totally different bike with all that.
