Default Multilock Crimp tool

I plan on doing some wiring and do not want to "splice" into any of the wiring harnesses. Does anyone have a good source for a Multilock Crimp tool (without spending $200) that will work with the harley Multilock connectors?

I want to use the harley connectors but need a crimper for the terminal ends so they go into the connectors, correctly.

These tools do not come cheap. You may find a used one on e-bay or some garage sale but may still end up paying for it. If you buy the cheap ones at walmart or harbor feight then you generally get what you pay for. They won't hold up or they tear up the contacts when crimping.

The reason the factory spec tools cost so much is they are designed to use the proper amount of pressure to crimp the contact onto the striped end of the wire to keep the connector on the wire with out damaging the wire.

Wires poorly crimped come off, over crimped cut the strands and loose connection.

Bottom line if you don't want to cut an splice your wiring harness and you want factory contacts in OEM connectors you need the tool.

Sorry if this may not be what your looking for as your answer, but those that have these tools have spent the money for them and most us use them enough to offset the cost of getting them.

I like to do things the right way. And, I don't mind paying for a good tool. I am a firm believer in, "You get what you pay for".

Thanks for the advice Ram.

Not sure what your connectors look like but you might try one of these for crimping, Thomas & Betts Shure Stake Hand Tool Cat. No. WT145A or STA-Kon Lug from the same company.

I bought the BCT-1 crimp tool for about $25 delivered and it works just fine on the connectors HD uses (Deutsch, AMP, etc.):

Don't recall the vendor since it's been a couple of years; just google BCT-1 crimp tool and you should find some vendors.
