turn signal bulb will not fit

turn signal bulb will not fit
I have an 05 wide glide with the bullet turn signals.
It has a GE198 bulb that appears to be exchangeable with an 1157 or 2057
But recently I purchased a LED that is suppose to fit into an 1157 socket but, it don't.
Anyone have any clues? I have measured each of these bulbs and cannot figure out whey the LED will not lock in to place.

If the bulb fits into the socket. 1st look at the old bulb socket. are the pins level with each other or are the slightly offset. Looking from the side the pins should look like this _x- if the bulb is an 11 57. Also how may connections are on the bottom of the bulb 1157 have 2. If the bulb has one connection and the pins are like this -X- it is 1156. If old bulb and the 1157 are the same U may be putting the bulb in the socket 1/2 off. Deep pin hole goes with lowest pin on bulb

Ok sounds like U are having fun. Would these happen to be Kuryakyn leds? The reason I ask is, that I installed Kury's in my streetglide style turnsignals. Due to the smaller opening of the housing, it was difficult to install the base. On Kury's the base is made like a bulb base, and the leds are wired to it. (that was just in case yours are different.) I had to use soft pliers to push the base into and turn to lock. Hope this helps
