Default Audio headset Connection Problem

When I am plugged into my rider audio plug on the fuel tank for my helmet sound system, only the left speaker in the helmet plays. I can disconnect and connect into the passenger audio plug and both speakers operate.
Anybody have any idea what is going on, the connectors in my plug looked ok when I examined them.

Sounds like the plug itself on the tank has a bad connector. Have you tried a different headset in that plug?

Thanks Ohiobellboy, I checked the wiring diagram for the plug and pin 3 controls the right side headset. That may be the problem and I believe I can just replace that plug without replacing the entire audio harness.

You may be able to find a broken wire in that harness. I'd start close to the connector itself.

Question Ultra headset problem

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem in my 98 Ultra, except the left headset speaker doesn't work. I've tested the s**t out of it; all connections are intact, headsets and cables all work fine in the read connector & all have the same problem in the front connector. I sent the radio back for repair thinking that something was wrong with the intercom, but RadioSound guy says the radio works fine (and still charged me the full price). I'm tearing my hair out!!
