Default No power to fuel pump

I have a 96 Ultra with fuel Injection. My fuel pump quit suddenly while my wife and I were out on it. We pushed (ugh!) it home. Fortunately it quit two blocks from home. I have tried to trouble shoot the problem using the HD Service Manual for the 95-96. First of all when I found no voltage at the fuel pump connector I removed the fuel pump from the tank. With it on my bench I touched 12v to it and it ran. So, I put it back in the tank. There is no voltage at the terminals on top of the tank. All the fuses I found so far are good. At the relay I have 12v at 30 but nothing at 87 (black and white wires going to ECM). The flow chart says to check for voltage at 27 in the break out box. This is where I am stuck. Does any one know where the break out box is? I have no idea of what it is or what it does. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob

if all lights stay on could it be your kill switch..run/off switch?..maybe pinched a wire in handlebar change-out??

Default no power to fuel pump

I did check the kill switch to make sure it was not off, but I did not think of a pinched wire. The lights do stay on....thanks for the input.
