Default Fuel pump not working HELP PLEASE

I switched tanks on my 2003 flht and dummy me pulled off the top tank assembly off and set it on the battery, it got a lil hot, when I reassembled the tank, I went to start the bike and it cranks but I don't hear the fuel pump and it won't start, all fuses are good, all connections are tight and connected how can I check the fuel relay or fuel pump before I buy parts I might not need. Thanks for any suggestions

The connector for the fuel pump has three spade termanils....some times when you slide in the male connector one of these spade will get bent down and not make contact, so check out the connector on the tank it's self first.
