i have been searching for a bit but most info i find is on different bikes

stats: 2002 fxsts, CARB, samson pipes and big sucker air filter.

bout a week ago i logged a fault code(blinkers flash 6 times after engine light goes out when started).

i just tried to retrieve the code by:
1. jumpered pins 1 and 2 on data link
2. kill switch is in run position
3. turn ignition on

results:
engine light on 4sec. pause 6sec. light flashes 12-13 times real fast and seems to repeat with a 1 sec delay. from what i've read it should reveal first digit, pause, second digit and so on, what am i missing.

 

oh yea seems to run normal, but after the logged error i'm starting to think i hear noises.
but i am a little crazy too. lol.

c'mon i know there a fault code guru out there somewhere. any one with a link?

 

If you are getting multiple flashes with a pause in between, then you do not have a code stored. Does the engine light come on when you start it, go out and then stay on again for 8 seconds?
