Question Looking for some help on no spark!

got a 06 Swift Punisher with 117 cu in S&S that is giving me fits. Here's what I've done so far to help. Replaced ignition (IST) S&S, engine temp sensor, checked coil wires and plugs. Replaced coil (single fire) I'm getting 12.8 volts at the center wire on the coil and it drops to around 10 volts when cranking engine. had to replace entire wiring harness as the original one died. I've double checked all the wire connections and they are correct. It's my understanding that that the crankshaft sensor tells the ignition module when to discharge the coil to fire the spark plugs. Sooooooooooo am I right to assume that the crankshaft sensor needs replaced?????

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ben, to be frank I would find a local indy to diagnose your problem for you. You're chasing a needle in a haystack, so call in the reinforcements! You need practical hands-on help from someone who can test and check your bike - that ain't easy over the internet! Best of luck.

Default Spark

gr,
I've talked with several bike techs with little luck. I got this bike in pieces last fall in my shop and put it back together. Hoping to find someone that could verify my thinking.
Thanks for your input.

Ben, Harley service manuals have some great diagnostic stuff in them, which could help, but it's a bit difficult to know what more to suggest with a custom bike! There is a Custom section of HDF, although I don't often call in there to see what they get up to.
