cam swap ,power loss
I swapped out the cams in my 07 ultra classic which has an Arlen ness big sucker air filter ,V&H true duals with rush slip-ons , and a download from Harley (stage 1) it was making 74 hp ,78 #ft of torque , in the search for more power for two-up riding in the texas hill country I swapped S&S 551ce cams with a power commander 5, power & midrange torque was a noticeable difference , pcv had a preloaded map from cycle solutions . however I did notice a considerable loss at the 4500-to 5500 range ,took it in for a dyno check found peak hp 61.6 peak tq 85.7. AFTER 16 dyno pulls & several attempts to map it , end result 66.03 hp 94.3 tq . I do not feel that this is correct as the advertised expectations were much higher. have double checked pushrod adjustments, compression ,new plugs, wires , kv output on coils checked good ,fuel pressure good , actually ran better before this dyno tune , any thoughts or insight would be appreciated. Might look for another dyno Guy.
