1985 XLS Neutral Indicator Light
I'm just about finished work on the XLS I picked up last fall. I had it running for a few minutes a couple of day ago. The engine sounds tight and the Cycle Shack pipes sound good. It's ready for a shake down run but we still have a foot of snow/ice on the ground and the roads are covered with salt so that will have to wait. Anyway..
My question- Did this bike come through with a neutral indicator light? I looked over the wiring diagram included in the factory repair manual and couldn't find one. The bike has aftermarket tach/speedo and indicator lights but the neutral light wires are not tied in and are taped up).
It didn't dawn on me until I went to start the bike and had to fish around for neutral.
Thanks
Dave

You found it no neutral light on any IronHeads. Also the turn signal lights flash only while the button is held in. You'll get used to these things quickly enough. At least you got a post 1974 so the shifter is on the left side.
Cycle Shack pipes on these bikes are my favorite. They carry the traditional sounds of the IronHead engine quite well indeed.
Please post a video of a startup and perhaps a bit of first ride. Can't get enough of these.
