I GOT A 74 XLCH JUST PUT A BRAND NEW GENERATOR/REGULATOR COMBO ON IT. HOW DO I WIRE IT UP? I ASSUME I SHOULD TAKE THE OLD REGULATOR OUT. HOW DO I WIRE IT UP. DOES ANYONE HAVE A DIAGRAM FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS. ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED.

IF I'M TAKING THE OLD MECHANICAL REGULATOR OUT. WHAT DO I DO WITH THOSE WIRES. THIS DIAGRAM IS FOR THE SEPARATE REGULATOR AND GENERATOR. THE NEW ONE HAS THE REGULATOR ON IT.

 

You said you needed a wiring diagram, so that is what I provided.
Your new regulator/generator should have come with some instructions to hook it up.
I would think it would be the same,but with the regulator simply relocated to the generator location.
In other words, remove the wires that ran between the old regulator and the generator. However, I am not familar with what you bought, so I have to pass on offering an opinion on what you need to do here.
