My 83 XLX has polished fender struts, stainless handlebars, chrome exhaust, chrome mirrors and single front disc, and generator motor, the tach must be an add on. I believe it is a late 83 model as the original purchase date was march 1984. I also have a 1984 XLX that has plain struts, black handlebars, single front disc, it had black exhaust replaced with after market by the p.o., alternator, and a different clutch cable connection in the primary. I took pictures but have to resize them to post.
