Default Bearing inspection

Clutch hub bearing looks bad and it was full of friction plate fibers so im ganna replace it but sm wondering if the bearing is still good? Still spins really well when I put the hub on the tranny. What are identifiers that I should look for to decide wether a bearing is alive or dead?

if it chatters when spining Dry - or has lots of in and out play as to make the clutch hub move around in excess

it should have shields on both sides so the debris stays out if not replace it
