Sorry I haven't given you feedback on my project of adapting the new Harley Ultra low seat to my 2008 Road Glide. I finally got it done and took it for a short ride to Jemez Falls a week ago. I had to pull the vinyl off from the rear of the seat to about mid way. I cut and filed the pan a little at a time until it rested on the fender enough to put the rear bolt on. Definitely not a bolt on! It's hard to gauge after such a short ride, but I liked it and feel it will work out ok on a long trip. My girlfriend's busy schedule has pretty much limited her to trying it in the garage only, but she thinks it feels alot more comfortable than the stock '08 seat. Thanks again for your earlier help on this.
