clutch

I am on board w those that say the clutch ain't a warm and fuzzy.. I have no lack of experience w clutches.. If it has one I can adapt... However, I only have 600 miles on mine (shameful I know), and I had 8 feet in a hard left turn from a dead pull out w my lady on the back (she was shuffling w her helmet fitment) and I tell you sure as **** it was impossible for me to find the slip spot w me fresh w the clutch for that ride.. neither of us were happy w that pull out, and my lady clearly was shocked at my rookie maneuvering.. I said it ain't me it the clutch, she believed me.

The clutch response really isn't any different than the finding neutral issue. I agree 1000% it's different and doesn't feel right, but that said, after a few 100 miles anyone with experience gets use to it. Was the old grab better? Sure.. But that doesn't make this a problem. Both are just different in the end..

All you guys saying the clutch engaging all the way out is fine have large hands. I'm not a big dude, hands are proportionally smallish. When the clutch starts to bite my fingers are almost fully extended and I'm controlling the lever with my fingertips. Not conducive to smooth maneuvering.
Owned a lot of street bikes. With a cable it's adjusted to the mid-point, with hydraulics it's set at the mid-point. This clutch is not normal!
When I get the ***** to do it, I'll probably put the levers in a vise and un-dogleg them until it feels like EVERY OTHER BIKE IN THE WORLD.

No doubt about it. I have a Ultra Limited and the first thing the salesman said was the clutch grabs at the far end. Bought my first Harley when I was 15 (now 69) and I've owned many bikes over the years. This bike by far grabs at the far end of its travel. That's ok, cause I can adapt to anything but after 700 miles, I still find it disconcerting.
I've checked for adjustable clutch levers but have been unable to find any for the 2017 yet. I may also go the vice route.

so the dealer tells me because I put in a full 32 oz not the 30 oz wet fill causes the clutch to have a smaller friction zone that is further away from the grip when hot I am thinking maybe the syn3 is just not playing nice with the clutch plates and they slip more on engagement when hot hard to believe that 2oz of oil spread over the length of the primary would effect the clutch this much and it has done it seance the day I bought it

I traded my 2016 for a 2017 this morning. The HYD cultch does feel a little different but like the 2016 it all at the end. On my 2016 the adjustable levers fixed that. However
what would work on the rushmores will not fit the 2017. Hope it won't be long someone will make them for the 2017. The housing was changed so the levers are different.
The extended brake pedal will fit.
